I have several engagements at the Canadian Congress of Social Sciences and Humanities, this year in Fredericton NB:
- I’m honoured to have been invited to sit at the annual English Studies in Canada (ESC) Roundtable, this year at the Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English (ACCUTE) on the topic of “Face/Book/Net/Work: Social Networking and the Humanities.” My short, pithy intervention is tentatively titled “Social Networking the Edu-Factory: Don‘t Mourn, Humanize!” and will also be published in a forthcoming issue of ESC.
Sunday, May 29, 1:30pm.
- Also at ACCUTE, I’ll be presenting a paper titled “Metaphoric Wealth: Global Finance with a Différance.”
Saturday, May 28, 2:45pm.
- At the Canadian Association of Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies (CACLALS) I’ll be presenting a paper titled “The Creative Work of Race.”
Monday, May 30, 1:45pm.
- At the Society for Socialist Studies I’m participating in and helping coorindate a special double-session roundtable titled “Radical Research for Social Transformation.”
Friday, June 3, 1pm.
I hope to see you there!
